I wore a black tuelle tutu, leggings, a polka dot singlet, red cardy and gorgeous black sandals with 5inch heels. I also had on my beautiful pendant that Puppy on the radio bought me for our annioversary.

So here's the rundown....

Tuelle tutu - jj's from the Alice in wonderland collection marked down to $4

Black leggings-target

polka dot singlet & red cardigan -camberwell market

High heels-novo shoes

I was also very impressed by the fact that Puppy on the Radio ( also known as jus ) wore that mad hatter hat he had made all nite!

The exhibit was fantastic! They had the actual red dress from alice in wonderland in which im sooo obsessed by, i think i.m going to have to create it somehow lol

Its tshirt weather....

anyone who knows me at all knows i don't wear my jeans a lot. in fact i generally wear either dresses or skirts so i very rarely wear t-shirts. Recently thou ive begun wearing tshirts with skirts which is fun cause every so often i find a design i just adore......This Emily the strange one has been my fave for about a year now, i had it on today with a denim mini & leggings.....

ive had a bit of a shopping spree in the last 2 days, nothing pricey but i did come home with this today....for the lovely sum of $4. Its from jj's and i managed to snag it, along with a black tube skirt(which im wearing with it to work tomorrow) and a black tuelle one for a total of $12....it was 15 but everything in the store was 20% off lol
Im probably going to wear the tuelle one to the Tim burton Exhibit @ ACMI tomorrow nite, yes so excited to be going but what to wear??? quiet the problem. I promise a full photo tomorrow :)

in the park

Today was a very long day at work, so in the evening i went for a quick stroll through the park behind our house with Miss lola. Today's outfit, a surprise:) a cool 70's inspired green & brown print dress...of course whats surprising to any one who knows me is i hardly ever ever wear green or brown, but i LOVE this dress. Worn with the coolest cowboy boots, inspired by the divine Miss Tina I think its a pretty cool look.

Dress is once again from Camberwell market, boots I've had for so long I can't remember:)

Very tierd today and another 9 hour day tomorrow so a quick song from the band ive been listening to all afternoon...Mumford & sons

Spring! at the cafe

Having had the most lovely Spring day today I'm getting in the swing of blogging...(also there are only 27 sleeps left till Movember which means Mofashionista again:) For those of you who don't know Movemember is a great fund raising campagin started by some blokes in a pub to raise money & awareness for men's health issues including depression. Check it out
http://au.movember.com/

Mofashionista is the team that my lovely man, a great friend & I formed last year as a part of this. Basically it involes Justin growing a great Mo, and myself doing my part by wearing as many dresses as i can over the month, at least one per day, and nothing but dresses! check out last years efforts: http://mofashionista.blogspot.com/

Anyway I thought i'd start blogging in October by doing my outfit each day, so here's the first :)
as you can see i had time to stop at the lovely Red Cup cafe in Box hill for coffee before work in the sunshine. I'm obviously imagining I'm an italian movie star or something lol.
The dress is black with white polka dots- Camberwell market.
Pale green cardy- Camberwell market.
Matching polka dot shoes-Myer on sale.
Pandora necklace.
it was a great start to the day
thanks to Puppy on the Radio (POTR) for the photography

Things I could do instead of putting laundry away....

Apparently there are many things I can do instead of actually putting the clothes away that have been lying round the house all week. That is of course one of the main problems with having lots & lots of clothes, especially if you have my habit of being 'creative' and trying a few things on each morning.

I can go looking in a lovely little shop & accidentally buy another dress, ( Black tunic style with a white peter pan collar, so Audrey...) and even contemplate buying a couple of other things. This kept me busy for an hour today, I'm still debating about the black cardy with the skulls, I saw a gorgeous pic of one the other day worn with a couple of roses on the collar and I'm convinced it would look divine with a black pencil skirt. Is there an appropriate age to wear this sort of thing thou? and am i past it. It was soooo pretty thou, wish I'd taken a pic.

Apparently I can also find pics of just about anything online whilst wasting time, I managed to find a pic of the cardy I'm currently pondering, except the one i want is black with white skulls...what do you think? sadly i couldn't find a pic of the dress, but I'm sure i can model it later.

Yesterday I spenat a couple of hours putting music on my iphone, and I might have to walk Lola in a little while, but I guess first I should actually put some cothes away...mabye I should reorganise my clothing system first :)

Raspberry Red

The other day I received a divine gift from one of the lovely people I work with. It was an English wool, raspberry red coat. Apparently it had been bought by her sister in England who doesn't wear it here. It really is the most thoughtful thing, fits me perfectly and given that on a practical aside I catch public transport in Melbourne- mornings can be. Also have an obsession with overcoats. Seriously I have so many there was no way i could justify another purchase, even a lovely cheap one from a market, so this was an amazing gift.

I had decided recently that this winter i would love to brighten up my black and grey with splashes of color and that idea has narrowed down to red. ( for those who care, apparently charcoal grey is the new black for winter...seriously) I have a gorgeous red pashmina that a wonderful friend bought me back from India that I've been wearing, and the weather in Melbourne has just turned last week to the perfectly crisp mornings that i adore. Autumn is defiantly my favorite season. I have also decided that i really do need a pair of red boots, what a gorgeous way to brighten up a grey day. So I went searching online and found these......

Doc Martins so they'll last for years, perfect color and just sooooo beautiful!

So I think soon I'll be all set for those crisp perfect autumn mornings..............
